It will describe which controls are needed and how to the evaluation of experimental data should be performed. The course highlights aspects to be considered with regards to sampling, storage and extraction of nucleic acids. Furthermore, it presents a workflow for qPCR assay validation and how limit of quantification (LOQ) and detection (LOD) are determined.

It also includes the important quality control steps needed to assure reliable results.
